Built in the 1880's and remodeled in the 1920's as a summer retreat for Chicago lumber baron J.W. Stickney and his wife Genevieve, Bowers Harbor Inn sits peacefully along West Grand Traverse Bay amidst the majestic oaks and pines of Old Mission Peninsula.

The Harbor Room
Our largest private dining room, the Harbor Room seats up to 70 guests. Amenities include bay windows with a spectacular view of Grand Traverse Bay and an original fieldstone fireplace on the south wall.
Maximum Capacity - 70

The Bay Room
This semi-private room can accommodate up to 30 guests. As with Harbor, the Bay Room offers views of the water and a fireplace at its north end. Maximum Capacity - 30

The Alcove
The Alcove is situated at the north end of the main floor. With three booths and one table, the Alcove seats 14 people, and is a nice choice when the group requires a bit of privacy and can sit at different tables.

The Library
On the second floor of the Inn, near the top of the winding staircase, is the Library. Appropriate for as many as 45 guests, the Library has long been the primary "private" dining room of the Inn. Windows face both east and west, affording views of the bay and our gardens and vineyards. An original stained glass window and Pewabic tile fireplace help make this a unique and beautiful place to host an event.

Outdoor Events
The grounds, garden, patio, and waters edge of Bowers Harbor Inn are the perfect setting for any event, from garden weddings to cocktail parties. Outdoor events are booked under special circumstances and often require detailed planning. Our event coordinator would be happy to work with you to accommodate your group's specific needs.
