BOWERS HARBOR INN TO HOST ‘PARALLEL 45’ WINE DINNER
Features fine wines and cuisine of regions throughout the world
TRAVERSE CITY, MI., December 29, 2006 – Bowers Harbor Inn, among the most historic and recognizable restaurants in Michigan, will host a “Parallel 45” wine dinner series every other Friday throughout the winter months.
Chef Colin Beaumier has created five-course menus from some of the most celebrated gastronomic regions of the world, all located on the 45th Parallel. Each course will be paired with a regional wine to complement.
The regional dinner schedule is as follows:
January 12—Bordeaux
January 26—Burgundy
February 9—Alsace
February 23—Asia
March 9—Pacific Northwest
March 23—Northern Michigan

Built in the 1880's as a summer retreat for Chicago lumber baron J.W. Stickney, Bowers Harbor Inn sits along West Grand Traverse Bay. Schelde Enterprises purchased the Inn in 1974. The Inn soon became the flagship restaurant of Schelde Enterprises, and quickly gained a reputation for fine dining and outstanding wines. The Bowery is known for serving great food in a fun, casual atmosphere.
